Joint Birthday and Father's Day

Today we had a family get together at Mum and Dad's. We decided to have a joint birthday for Harri and Jalen instead of getting the family together twice in two weeks. As tomorrow is Father's Day, we thought we would also get together and celebrate that at the same time.

Pop came for lunch which was nice. It was great to see him and have a chat. He was actually really 'with it' today which was nice. He even asked me if I was going to have any more kids so we could have a little girl!! I told him no way - four boys was more than enough for me!

Kobe loved having a chat to him and anyone else who wanted to have a chat. He is such a sociable little thing.

It was the last time we would all be together as a family before Chrish heads home to Sydney on Monday. It has been nice having him home for a little while. I think he is looking forward to getting home, getting back into routine and heading back to work when he is up to it. The boys had fun kicking the footy around with him and Uncle Alex.

We all pigged out before all the 'boys' headed upstairs to watch the footy. Poor Chrish was very disappointed with the result.

Harri couldn't understand why we were going out to have another party. I kept telling him we were having a party for him and Jalen's birthday and he asks 'am I 5 now!?'. He just can't get it through his head that he is going to be 4 for a very long time. He was very excited though to get there and get lots more presents from everyone for his birthday.

While the boys watched the footy, us girls all sat around chatting and catching up. The little girls were eying off Grandpa's chocolates that he got for Father's Day and were very keen to share them with him!

Its nice that there were three girls all born at the same time and now there are three boys. I don't think Lachlan was very impressed with Kobe though.

Grandma has brainwashed the girls into loving The Dixie Chicks. I'm sure Becky has helped with the brainwashing too! :) The girls all wanted Grandma to put the music and and had a dance in the kitchen. They were so cute singing along to the music.

  1. Yes, I even got another Chickie babe on side today, and Harri and Jae seemed to enjoy the hooting and hollering as well. Thanks Aaron for fixing our computer,so I can get Lisa's daily update. I think I would have gone into major withdrawl without it, Mum xxx
