Tonight was Kristen's baby shower. It is 15 days and counting till their little girl is due. We are all hanging out for her to hurry and come, as we need a 'baby Jesus' for our Christmas play on the 15th!
As usual I was asked to do a couple of games. I thought I would do the 'guess the poo' game. Most people at the shower hadn't played it before and were all very amused with the different 'poo' in each nappy. Each nappy had a different chocolate bar melted onto it, so it really did look like poo. The aim of the game was to see who could guess the most chocolate bars correctly. Bonnie and Chloe won - getting 7 out of 8 correct. It goes to show who eats the most chocolate!! No wonder Bonnie comes to the gym so much :)
I also did the old favourite - guess how big Kristen's tummy was with the string. It was funny seeing most people overestimate how big she was. I'm sure that she probably feels as big as people were guessing.
Anna brought along little Darcy. Annette was very keen to have a cuddle, until he decided to vomit all over her! I think he is just getting her into practice for that new granddaughter that she will be getting very soon :)
Bonnie also arranged two games. With one we were blindfolded and then using one hand we had to try to find as many safety pins as we could in a bucket of rice. It was surprisingly a lot harder than it looked.
Kristen got lots of lovely gifts. Lots of pink things and things that will be very useful. Now we just have to be patient and wait for her little one to finally be ready to come into the world. We can't wait to meet her.
Thanks Lisa ...as alwys you get us at the "right" moment...alwys with your trusty candid camera ...iot was a great night and i will look at those 8 different choclates represented in a different light now....turns you off chocolate forever when you see it in a nappy like that....perhaps we could patent it for the cure of chocaholics...ha hah
