I knew Hawthorn were playing on Saturday afternoon and the game was being shown live on TV. I took the opportunity to get out of the house for a bit as it is often intense in our house when the Hawks are playing.
Unfortunately I couldn't stay away for the whole game. This is what I came home to (Aaron doesn't always wear his Hawks PJs in the middle of the afternoon. Kobe spewing on his jeans made him get changed and he thought his PJs were a good option!).
This next pic was taken just after he punched the door as Fevola was about to kick for goal in the last seconds of the game which would mean that the Blues would've won. I had to tell him to 'SETTLE!!!', more than once!
Thank goodness Fevola missed!
Why do boys take a game of footy so seriously!!!!????
Oh how I can relate! Sprained my thumb clapping too hard - sad I know! Love that first photo with Kobe watching!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'm not a boy!
It's not just boys.
ReplyDeleteLove Mum.
Kobe looks really into the game.
Love Mum.
xxx
Look at Kobe already all eyes for the game...i fear you are going to have a problem there Lisa...good job you can escape for a bit...i think i would pack my bag and run away altogether...dont they call that sort of obsession "INDOCTRINATION" or "BRAIN WASHING"....LOL
ReplyDeleteOh that brings back memories! I grew up with 6 brothers in SA where they are just as AFL mad.....my Sat arvos were usually spent falling asleep on the couch listening to that annoying whistle!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome to crash here when the games on, we're a no footy/tv free zone :P
i feel your pain lisa. it is insane. jaron has settled down a "bit" now, but i still have to tell him to calm down - they speak to the tv like the players can hear them. when our kids were babies he would always make them cry with his loud football outbursts!
ReplyDeleteOkay.... so first up - Thanks for this post - Mick and I both enjoyed it and had a good old laugh!! We are missing watching the AFL - but trying to keep up with it as best we can..... these storys about Aaron and his footy all ways crack us up though!
ReplyDeleteSecondly.... Toni's comment also cracked us up cause we were just talking about how Mick used to scare the kids with his loud outbursts!!!! So funny!
I realised that once I got to the end of that post I was clenching all my muscles and I was so tense! Ohh Lisa I feel for you!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletehaha LOVE the pics of aaron when he's watching a game...he's SO intense!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he wasn't at the game with me, though it would have been fun
ReplyDeleteI was AT that game!!! SOOO INTENSE being there - and I don't even go for Hawthorn OR carlton!! But such a fantastic game of footy! Loved it :-) hahaha Aaron is crazy!!
