Oil Painting

We have received so many beautiful gifts since Noah passed away and I still need to blog about all of them, but couldn't wait to share this one.  Last week Simone sent me a message asking if we would be home that night as she wanted to drop in with Simon and the kids.

I knew she had something up her sleeve for a while, but wasn't sure what it was.  I knew it had something to do with a picture, and that she was very excited about it, but couldn't work out what it was.

Last Monday they dropped in and she unveiled this beautiful oil painting.  We were blown away with how beautiful it was, and how much it looked like Noah. She had given one of our favourite photos of Noah to someone she knows who is an artist called Susannah Curtis and we now have this beautiful oil painting on our wall.  I have her contact details if anyone would like it - just send me an email.

This is the photo that it was done from.  It's lovely that Harri's hand is a part of it, especially as he is missing him so much right now.

We can't stop looking at it on our wall and it looks even more beautiful as the light changes on it throughout the day.  The photos here don't do it justice at all. It looks a lot more beautiful in real life.

Thank you Simone and Simon for such a beautiful gift. We treasure it so much and feel so blessed to have you as our friends (okay, well really cousin and cousin in law - is that even a term!?).
