Before Aaron went back to work full time after Noah passed away, the school invited him to come to school for a special assembly. He went back to school for a few things before he went back teaching, and one was for an assembly which had a guy from Hawthorn speaking. As soon as they mentioned 'Hawthorn' he was there. The assembly was for the Beacon Charter signing day which encourages kids to stay in school or training until they find a job.
The guy who spoke was the Hawthorn work placement officer. Basically he helps players find work or education on their one day off per week, which helps them get set up for their life after playing professional football. He brought along with him the Hawthorn premiership cup. Aaron was lucky enough to be able to carry it through the school and was like a kid in a candy store. This was the photo he sent me on my phone straight afterwards.
No wonder he loves teaching so much, when he has days like this one!
Go Hawks!!!!!!!
