Night Swimming

Last night I took three of the boys to meet Nicki and her kids at Launceston Aquatic at about 5pm. Alex was coming in for a meeting, so Nicki thought it would be fun to fill in time at the pool with the kids. Alex's sister Vanessa was also with them. The boys were so excited to know we were going to the pool - again, and especially excited to go after school.

It was actually an excellent time to go (except that it was tea time and I was starving!), as there was hardly anyone there. It felt like it was just 'our pool'. The boys loved that they pretty much had the slides to themselves and didn't have to line up.

At first Kobe was just happy to walk around and not get in the pool. Every time the bucket would tip he would freeze and not take his eyes off it.

He loved playing in the water with Maddi and Alex.

Maddi was having a great time spraying us all.

Alex is always so happy and placid. He is a real little sweetie.

It was nice to meet them and really nice to go swimming at night. I told Aaron that we should do it more often as it's nice to go when the pool isn't so busy.

  2. ha ha - not quite Collette! It's actually really cheap to go to it and just up the road so we are making the most of it :) Have you been yet!!!?

  3. I will have to remember that time of day. I haven't been yet but the kids have. I love that you told us you were hungry. Swimming makes you hungry too so you must have been starving afterwards!!

  4. What a great idea! What time do they close? I'm thinking of having a combined party for the kids up there this year.

  5. It doesn't close till 8pm weekdays, and 6 pm on weekends (I think). It was a great time to go. We will definitely be going at that time again - may even just get hot chips there for tea at the same time :)

  6. When we left at 7 there was hardly anyone there. Great time to go, but next time on a full stomach. But then again, no one wants to be wearing swimmers with a full stomach!

  7. Ha ha Noodles, it does look like the perfect time to go, except there is nobody to hide behind when you have your bathers on.
Glad all the kids had a great time.
    Love Mum.

  8. It is a good time to go. We often head off to our 'old' aquatic centre at night, it's a fun FHE activity. PLUS it's so much easier to get into your toggs when you know no one will be gawking at you!! :)
