We are heading off for a few days at St Helens. We were planning on a week, but my Pop passed away this morning so we will be back for his funeral, depending on when that is - maybe Thursday or Friday.
I'm happy for Pop that he is no longer suffering, but sad for Nan and will miss him a lot. Harri had a big cry after he found out and asked how did he get to Heavenly Father. Jalen thought it was quite funny and we explained his body is still at the home with Nan but his spirit is with Heavenly Father and he seemed to get that.
He is our hero and we loved him so much. We will miss you Pop, but know we will see you again.
I am sorry for your loss and for your Nan, It is nice that he was here to meet all your boys.
ReplyDeleteHow sad that dear old Harry has left us all behind...he is now free and no longer weighed down by an infirm body...
ReplyDeleteIt is all his family who have now to carry on that wonderful legacy he has left for them...
My deep and sincere sympathies Lisa
Have a good break before the funeral..I am sure there will be a lot of people there to say goodbye
Thinking of you all Lisa :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that photo! May all your amazing memories help you get though the next few weeks.
ReplyDeleteParticularly fitting around Australia Day. Although I never met your pop, I'm very grateful for what he did for our country, and for the example he has been to your wonderful family. :)

He was the biggest example to me when i first joined the church. He was such a great man, i feel extremely lucky to have known him, and very privileged for all the kindness he showed me.. He was such a great man. xxx
