I'm a social media addict. I am so addicted to Facebook that I've decided I may take a break from it for a while. Notice I said 'may'. I'm feeling the pressure to stay as it's just so easy to keep in touch with people via Facebook especially friends overseas. Jalen did point out to me today that if I'm not on Facebook, then I won't know if his relationship status changes. Silly boy!
One thing I couldn't give up though is Instagram. I love it so much. It's way better than Facebook as it's just photos, and you don't have to put up with all the other rubbish. I love that I can take a photo and share it straight away, or can see what others are putting up.
When Naomi from Seven Cherubs shared her cool entrance way which was decorated with Instagram pictures, I straight away went on the Printstagram website and knew I wanted to order a poster print for our home. I was so excited when it arrived!
We have it up in our kitchen and at first Harri found it really hard to look at. He would stand there looking at all of the pictures of Aaron and Noah on there and would just cry and say 'it just can't be real'. Now he is happy as he walks past and sees all the photos.
I take so many photos on Instagram that it must almost be time to get another one done!
I saw this on your instagrarm feed a month or so ago and though it was fab! It prompted me to look for instagram printing options. I've got the whole of our "instagram summer" up in the living room which makes me very happy. I also found this company who turn instagrams into magnets - they are just so cute and there's two sets decorating my fridge! http://stickygram.com/

ReplyDeleteI love it ..... that's awesome.
ReplyDeleteI recently took a break from facebook. I needed it. My kids always knew I would be on fb. I didn't want their memories of me to be of me on fb. I have a personal struggle going on with myself as well that I needed to sort out. I didn't want to have my drama show up on fb so I deactivated my account for 5 weeks. It was SO freeing! There are a few things I have learned. One of them is that my relationship with my kids is better. The other is that I am REALLY important to some people and those people will go to any length to get in contact with me. I didn't make an announcement I was taking a break, so they had to really search to get ahold of me. It made me realize that I was really important to some people and those friends are ones I want to work harder on my friendships with. They truly took the time to search me out and see if I was okay. Try it. Don't announce it, just do it. You may love it!
