Today we headed out to Deloraine for church as I had a talk as a stake speaking assignment. It's always nice to go out to Deloraine to see family and friends. Although I see Simone at least four times a week at the gym, it's always nice to catch up on a different day, when we aren't hot and sweaty and trying to talk over the loud tracks being played during our gym class :)
Recently she has been through something really hard and there has been lots of tears for the little girl that she never got to hold. Although she wouldn't have had the same condition as Noah, for a month or so Simone knew what it felt like to be the Mum of a very special spirit. She felt the low of knowing that your child is not 'perfect' but then felt the high of realising that she was actually going to be more perfect than most other people who are born on the earth. I know how much Simone wishes she could've just held her little girl and I know that although she isn't able to now, she will one day.
Simone always tells me how being around Noah makes her realise how special he is and even more so now. Today we took the opportunity to take some photos of them together. Two very special people in my life.
I love Simone so much.
ReplyDeleteLove Mum.

Whenever anyone asks me about what I do with Noah if he doesn't speak or walk (etc) and I tell them that even though he doesn't speak, he has a real (and I always pause, to look for the word)...presence... He definitely is a beautiful spirit. Kind and gentle and patient and cheeky.
ReplyDeleteSimone looks beautiful in the photos! Even with the sadness, I'm sure her spirit is forever changed, but richened by her precious daughter.
Great photos of Simone and Noah. I like his haircut. What a handsome guy! :)
