Bubbles and Balloons

It's been a huge day and I will write a lot more later about Noah's funeral, but I just wanted to say that today was such a beautiful day.  The sun was shining, it was warm and our hearts were full from the love shown to us today. We aren't sure how many people attended Noah's funeral but people are saying over 500.  There was standing room only left with all seats taken and people standing around the edges of the hall.

I know Noah was there and felt really comforted and at peace throughout the whole thing.  I know he would've been proud of us today and especially proud of Jay and Harri who both wrote their own talks and spoke about their love for their amazing brother. The whole day was really beautiful.  Tears flowing at times, but we were mostly happy as we celebrated our ten years that we got to spend with the most amazing boy.

At the burial the sun was shining and the sky was so blue.  Bubbles were blowing as his coffin was lowered to the ground by three of his uncles and also Aaron.

After the dedicatory prayer given by Bishop Bailey all the kids (and some adults :) let off 75 helium balloons into the bright blue sky.  As they flew away all the kids yelled 'bye Noah!'.  It was so beautiful.

We love and miss you so much Noah.  It's so hard to believe that this is all real.

  1. It was such a beautiful tribute to Noah, and the kids really added to it. I watched their faces, and it was so beautiful to see the joy, and when the said "Bye Noah" that really put a lump in my throat. What a beautiful happy day to say goodbye to our little man.
    I love you.

  3. By all accounts I heard it was a truly beautiful day! I said to mum and dad a couple days ago that I thought the chapel would be overflowing with people. Not surprising at all! Love the balloon and bubbles and all the bright happy colours. Dad said he enjoyed all the talks and mentioned some funny stuff Aaron shared about his suede shoes...made me laugh! Much love to you all xxx
