Flood Relief Auctions Albums

Things have been pretty quiet here over the past couple of days with Noah not being well.  The worst thing is that the weather has been so nice, and it would be nice to all get out together, but at the moment one of us takes the three boys out, while the other stays at home with Noah.

I thought since I'm home anyway and have Aaron around to help with the boys, I would jump in and help Carli and Toni with the Queensland flood relief auctions.  Toni has a huge master list of auctions on her blog and I was having fun clicking on all the links to the different sites for each item, but it was taking some time, so I rang Toni and asked what she thought about me making up some albums on Facebook to put the items in, so it was easier to scroll through them.

She thought it was a great idea, so the last two days I have been busy putting all the auction items into albums and linking them to people's sites.  I'm amazed at how generous and talented people are.  At the moment there are over 500 items up for auction on the masterlist! So far the highest item I've seen is a quilt which is currently going for $1000!

It's taken some time to put the albums all together, but I'm just so glad that I can help out in some small way for the thousands of people that have been affected in the floods.  Harri asked me today why I was doing the 'pictures for the floods if the floods were all finished now'.  If only it were that simple.  I can't even imagine how people would start rebuilding their lives after such a tragedy.

You can check out the ever growing items up for auction on Toni's Make it Perfect Facebook page.

While you are there click on a link and place a bid on something that catches your eye. If you are anything like me, there will be lots of things you will want to bid on!  Toni and Carli - you are amazing to have put all of this together. I can't wait to hear how much money has been raised from all these generous people from all around the world.

  1. What a great thing to spend your time doing...that was so thoughtful of you to do and I'm always so impressed with people who can organize fundraising events like that. Didn't know Noah was sick. :( What's going on?
