Distraction

It's been so nice having the boys here in Hobart with us for the past 24+ hours. They've been so happy and excited to be here with us, and it's been nice for us to have the distraction as well.  We've been spending time between the hospital, the room across the hallway from Noah's bed and Ronald McDonald House.

Noah is slowly getting better in some ways, but with his lungs he hasn't improved much at all.  It's nice to see that he's not having to have as many meds pumped into him all day long anymore.

We were so happy to have the Prebbles come and visit us this morning.

The boys are still very worried about Noah, but they have enjoyed the distraction of doing fun things in Hobart together.

Kobe was so excited to have 'Mama' back with us today as he had spent the whole week with her at home.  They will go back home with Mum tomorrow afternoon.

Tonight after tea we took the boys to Cold Rock for some ice cream.  They had been talking about it all week and were so excited to make up their own ice cream flavours.  They sure came up with some interesting combinations!

Noah has started having a lot of myoclonic jerks today.  He has them now and then - maybe 3 a day, but today he had hundreds.  He also seemed a little uncomfortable tonight as he was very tense.  They were going to start giving him some pain meds to see if it helped him as he was pulling his arms up into his body a bit.

He needed a little less oxygen today, but is still a long way from getting off the vent.  It's taking a lot longer than we and the doctors would like but it's just nice to know that he is getting all the support he needs at the moment and so nice to have the support from all the doctors in giving him everything that he needs right now to hopefully get well again.

We feel so loved with so many offers of help and assistance while we are down here, even from people that we don't know.  Thanks for everyone's continued prayers and support.  We really appreciate it all.
