Good Friday 2011

This morning we headed out to Mum and Dad's for Good Friday brunch with the family.  It's become a bit of a tradition over the last few years, and the boys always look forward to it, especially the Easter egg hunt with their cousins.   The amount of cousins seems to be growing so fast with Jack and Hugh both joining the family since last Easter.  We were excited to hear that Hugh now has a middle name - Christian! I think Uncle Chrish is pretty stoked about it :)

Jack looks so big now that Hugh has joined us.  He's such a cutie.

Noah wasn't having a happy day today, so wanted lots of cuddles with Aaron.

It's nice to be able to use Mum and Dad's new kitchen now that it is finally finished.

Brunch was a major feast with all sorts of yummy things - pancakes, homemade potato pancakes (mum's specialty from when we were kids that Eden and Jared loved reminiscing about), mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs, egg and bacon muffins, hot cross bun french toasts, croissants, juice and scrolls.

Aaron hid the eggs this year, and Kobe couldn't get out fast enough to find the eggs and actually came inside with a few while Aaron was still hiding them!

I was laughing at Chloe and Lachie's baskets.  Steph made Chloe's beautiful basket a couple of years ago and has the whole works - felt, buttons etc.  This morning they realised that Lachie didn't have a basket so the improvised and whipped up a basket from an old party hat - quite inventive really!   Lachie loved it, but we kept joking about who the favourite child is, and how things change with the second, third and fourth child ;)

He was much better off than my poor boys though, as we totally forgot to bring any baskets, but luckily Grandma always has a good supply for the kids to use.

Kobe was looking everywhere for the eggs, including up on the clothesline!

Once all the eggs had been found, we divide them all up to make it fair.  Last year there were tears as we put all the eggs together, but this year everyone was quite happy to share their eggs.

Grandma and Grandpa always give each of the grandkids an Easter present.  Kelsea is the crazy one in the family who doesn't like milk chocolate and only likes white! She was very happy with her white bunny.

The three girls loved their ears and looked so cute all dressed up in them.

They loved having Grandma read them an Easter story before they went home.

Before we left I gave Linc his first ever hair cut which was a bit nerve wracking! He did a good job and was distracted with ABC kids on the TV.  I'm sure it's a huge mess and not even at all, but at least it's a bit shorter.

Jay spent most of the morning out on the four wheeler.  He loves going out to Mum and Dad's and it's nice that he has something fun to do, while the little kids play together.

It was a lovely morning and we missed Chrish as it was way too expensive for him to fly down for the weekend, but we were happy to hear that he decided to brave a ten hour drive up to the Gold Coast to stay with some good friends instead.

What would we do without you keeping our family photo archives.
