The boys then filled him in on why they are actually in the newspaper - because Greg is coming back and Sam has to leave. Kobe kept saying 'but why Sam leaving!? Sam still here! See!!' and would point to his picture in the paper. We kept telling him that Greg was going to be the 'new' yellow Wiggle. He was NOT happy and his bottom lip dropped and the tears started. We tried to play it down and said that Sam was getting a new job and was going to look after his baby. He then just kept asking 'but why!?'.
I hope The Wiggles know how much trauma they are putting the kids through!
I was traumatized when Greg left! I thought it was Greg in a new Wiggles show I (Malia) was watching but Sam was in it too so I thought I was just drunk again...

ReplyDeleteI know it's hard to understand and I wish I could better explain it you.
However, there is one thing I CAN tell you. In all the DVDs that you already have and love watching, I will always be there as the Yellow Wiggle. Any time you want to see me (Sam), all you have to do is turn on one of those DVDs and I will be there singing and dancing for you.
I hope to be entertaining you in another way soon. Perhaps with some new friends. But until then, just turn on your DVDs and I will always be there.

Sam is just a lovely human being. I'm so glad he was able to help here in sending Kobe a personal message in such hard times for the family. I hope it puts a smile on his little face to realise he got a personal message from Sam the yellow wiggle!!
