What it's all about

It's been so nice having Chrish come down for the long weekend on the spur of the moment.  Today we headed out to Mum and Dad's for a BBQ with the whole family. It was even better than Christmas as everyone was together. It's hard to believe that just a week after I said that the only thing missing was Chrish, and now he is here.

It has been beautiful weather, so we sat out in the sun while we ate.

The sister missionaries from church joined us and one of them, who is from New Zealand made a beautiful abolone sauce (paua) to go with the fresh crayfish that Eden had recently caught.

The kids are so cute together.  When we pulled up Lachie came running to our van yelling 'boys, boys, boys!' (yes Lachie, it is true - we do have a lot of boys!:)

While we were eating Eden yelled out for me to get my camera, as the cut grass in the paddock was being blown in a small tornado.  He said I wasn't a 'real photographer' as I took a few seconds to get my thongs on so I could run over to take photos.  I didn't have the best lens on, but got these pics.  It was pretty cool to see.

We spent the afternoon just talking, riding bikes, playing games and enjoying being all together.

It was nice to all be together as a family, even if it is just for an afternoon.

Love the photo of the kids with the icecreams.
It was so good of Eden to bring all his seafood. We dined like Kings....another joke.
    Love Mum.

  2. Great photos, even if you didn't have the right lens on! It's funny how the kids are always attracted to stirring Chrish and wrestling him. Hope you enjoyed the cray. It was the best barbeque yet.

  4. You would love me at your family BBQ's as I don't like Crayfish, so you wouldn't have to share it with me!!! :) Glad you had a great afternoon..
