Fungi

Yesterday we went for a picnic at Hollybank Forest. Ever since the boys went there for their school excursion it reminded me of how beautiful it is and that we should hang out there more often.

We had the best time - the boys loved kicking the footy around with Aaron, while I got to snap photos! :) I came across some more amazing mushrooms.

It's incredible how something so tiny can be so beautiful.

  1. Mushrooms are pretty cool - especially those red ones cause you kind of think they are only in fairy tales!

  6. Hollybank is a lovely spot. I went there with Uni and learnt htat the english oaks there were planted to make cricket bats - but alas they didn't grow as well as they'd hoped and there wasn't enough meat in the trees or something {i never really listened was off in lala land}

  9. Thanks so much everyone. Fiona - that is a HUGE compliment! I'm betting this is how I got 5 leeches on me - rolling around trying to get photos of cool mushrooms!

  10. Lisa,
    Apparently you must have eaten some of those mushrooms, if you were rolling around on the ground taking photos, getting leeches on you.
    You must have been hallucinating!!

    Love Mum.
