Waiting for Santa AND the Tooth Fairy!

Today has been an exciting day for the boys - especially for Harri. This morning he came running in to wake me up with his tooth in his hand! Last week he discovered his first loose tooth and this morning he said he wobbled it and it came out - so tonight we are expecting a visit from not only Santa, but also the Tooth Fairy!

We had our usual Christmas Eve tea, after reading the Christmas story from a beautiful picture book that I bought last year.

All day the boys have been checking out the official 'Santa Tracker' on the net.

Jay has been very excited and updating us every 10 minutes or so about what Santa was up to. It's quite funny as last year Jay figured out that the Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny was us, and has been talking to me about Harri's tooth all day and how much money we would be giving him. When it comes to Santa though it's a totally different story as he really wants Santa to be real and hasn't asked any questions about it at all.

On the last day of school one of Harri's friends gave all the kids in his class some 'reindeer food'. It was a cute little bag with coloured muesli and glitter with a little poem saying 'Sprinkle on the lawn at night, the moon will make it sparkle bright. As Santa's reindeers fly and roam, this will guide them to your home'.

Harri couldn't wait to sprinkle it all out on the front lawn.

Harri went to bed after putting his tooth in a glass of water. We used to have a little bag that Jalen would put his in, so we decided the glass of water was the next best option.

We have warned the boys that they need to get to sleep early so Santa will come to them, but I doubt Noah will listen ;) He has been staying awake till about midnight lately, but then sleeping half the day away.

I'm sure Santa will still come to him since he has been very good this year :)

We expect to be woken up very early tomorrow morning, by some very excited boys!

  1. Love your updates on your family life Lisa - they're always so classic. Can't believe Santa AND the Tooth Fairy will be at your house tonight. If I was you I would stay up all night with your camera in hand just in case they arrive together and are happy to pose for a photo. You could earn millions!!!
By the way - I really love that photo of Noah - he looks so well and so alert.
Have a great Christmas and I look forward to catching up with you heaps next year. Fiona. xxx
