(Almost) Finished!!

18 months after moving into our house it's finally (almost) finished!! My brothers Eden and Jared have been helping getting the final things done on the house, and Jared has spent the last couple of weeks doing all the jobs to finish off the landscaping like painting the fence, making screens for the clothesline, putting steps and a floor into the cubby, and building gates.

I LOVE that I can now lock the gates and know that Kobe is in the backyard playing, and can't get through to the front without me knowing.

Our garage was like a bomb site with junk everywhere.  We had been wanting to get proper shelves built for months, but had just never gotten around to it.

I found some great shelving units at Bunnings (my new favourite shop!) and Jared put them together for me.

The same day Sam came around to join in the fun of putting a flat pak laundry cupboards together.  Supposedly Sam is the pro at flat paks as he's renovated a few houses, and I know Jared appreciated the help. Thanks heaps Sam.

I LOVE my organised garage, that now has space for me to park the car in.

Eden had been in contact with our builder who had left before our house was finished, and finally this week he came back and finished off the rendering of the house.  It's so nice to have the house completed. It's just very bitter sweet as I wish Aaron and Noah were both here to enjoy it with us.

I just need to get a little bit of tiling done and the house will finally be finished.

  1. I wish so badly for you that there wasn't the bitter, and only the sweet. The house looks great. Who knew a garage was for cars?!?! I thought they were for junk.

  7. Everything looks wonderful and your yard is beautiful. You've certainly had some wonderful friends and people help you and your little family and give you such support as well. You are blessed. I'm sure that Aaron and Noah are looking down on what has been created since they left this earthly life. You are an amazing young woman.
