Happy Harri

Today Harri has his athletic carnival at school. He was so excited to have Kobe and I go along to watch him.  I haven't really seen him in action when it comes to running, except for at his cross country and he fell over in that and got stepped on, so it is hard to know how he would've gone if he didn't fall over at the beginning.

I got busy talking to a Mum who has a child with special needs, and just about missed Harri's 50m race. I didn't see him coming towards me until right at the end, when I realised he was actually winning!

He was so excited and had the hugest grin on his face.

He then won his 74 m race by miles again.  He can actually run! He's obviously the only sprinter in the family.  Back in the day I was good at cross country, but couldn't run now to save my life.   He told me it was his sports shorts that made him run fast!

In the 200 m he came a very close 3rd (he's saying he came 2nd :) out of all the grade 1 boys.   He had the best time and it was so nice to see him so happy and smiling. I love his cute little dimple.

What a surprise he is to me that he is a sprinter, looks like he will be the athletic one in the family.
