'Wuwed' about Noah

I woke up at 5.30 am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep, so at 6.15 am I went in to visit Noah. I knew once I knew what kind of night he had that I would relax more. They said he had a 'good' night but they couldn't get his vent settings any lower as his sats kept dropping every time the tried. It was so nice to see him with his eyes open throughout the morning.  Aaron and I sat with him a lot this morning as he was awake and it was just so nice to sit and talk to him and know that he could hear us.

During the morning we were suprised with a visit from one of Harri's teachers who also taught Noah last year. She was down in Hobart also visiting a relative in hospital so it was nice that she could pop over to see Noah.

At lunch time we had a lovely visit from Chels.  I wish we lived closer and could see each other more often.  Simone was coming for a visit to see Noah, so this afternoon she brought the boys down to stay for a couple of days with her.  Although we have enjoyed the time alone with just Noah this week, we have missed them a lot, and were so excited to see them.   When they saw us they all ran up to us hugging us telling us that they missed us.  It was so lovely to see them.   They had poor Simone and the woman at the desk in tears because they were so happy to see us and Kobe kept saying 'I miss you guys soooo much!!'.

Simone delivered lots of hugs from lots of different people from up north and also overseas (thanks Lisa :)

Chels and Simone make me laugh so much so it was so nice to sit and chat for a while with them.

Simone also delivered a beautiful little monkey from Makayla who is away on holidays at the moment, and wished she could've came and delivered it in person.  He is now sitting at the end of his bed keeping his new teddy company.

The boys were so excited to be here and to stay at Ronald McDonald House again.  It's so nice to know that they have such a lovely and fun place to stay while we are here.  It makes the stay so much easier, and it's so nice just being across the road from Noah.  I wish so much I could be in the room sleeping with him, but I'm so grateful that we aren't too far.

Harri spent some time on the computer and I noticed he was messaging a friend from school.  One of his messages to her said 'yes I'm wuwed (worried) about Noah'.  He has become a lot more worried this week about Noah and has been sad at school and also home.  As soon as he saw us he asked 'how's Noah's temperature? How's Noah's oxygen!?'.

Di drove down for another visit and it was so nice that she could spend some time with Noah while he was awake.

She also delivered the most beautiful book that Noah's class from school had made for him.  Each child had done a page which said 'Noah is special because....' and had put down their own thoughts about why.  As we were reading it together we couldn't help but cry as we know how much the kids all love him and wish he was well and at school with them.

The boys loved seeing Noah and came and said goodnight to him again before they went to bed.

While I was sitting with Noah tonight we had a visit from Gary and Lindy which was lovely.  They loved reading Noah's book from his class.  It's so nice to know that we have people willing to help out anytime, even though we don't know them that well or see them that often.

Harri had brought a card with him that he had made for Noah during the week, as well as a pile of cards from the kids in his class.

I wish Noah did have that big smile on his face right now instead of looking so tired.
