The Program

It was the strangest and hardest thing seeing Noah's face on the front of the funeral program. As hard as it was though I still thought it was beautiful with his chubby little cheeks and big brown eyes.

We knew straight away which photos we wanted to use and also that we all wanted to speak at the funeral, and we just had the photo that was on the front, made into a huge canvas which is now in our living room.

The photo that was in the middle was taken by Fiona last year, and is still my favourite family photo.

When Noah was little I had saved a lot of poems that were about special needs or losing someone, so I had a big file of poems on my computer.  While I was going through them a couple of days before the funeral I knew that the one that we used on the back of the program was probably just how Noah had been feeling over the week we were in the ICU with him.

Serves me right for turning up after you'd run out. I didn't realise that family photo was inside it. I feel so proud and so honoured. Thank you. (I wish I could call you Leesa Fleeca *wink* and give you a big hug).
