Noisy Noah

I often have people comment to me that Noah is quiet. He usually is, but there are times when he is anything but. He used to get a lot of cerebral irritation which would make him really cranky, and he would cry and yell a lot. This could go on for months on end. Eventually after weeks and weeks of changing his meds around, we would finally get him settled again.

The main reason that he gets upset is when he is 'constipated'. He isn't constipated how we would imagine it to be (lovely topic I know, but when you have a child like Noah it's something that we just talk about all the time :), as he is actually still 'going', but just not going enough. He obviously gets really uncomfortable with it and yells and yells for hours on end. When he is like that it usually means a day or three at home flushing his system with all sorts of bowel meds, to get him cleaned out and settled and happy again.

This is Noah on Saturday night after a long week of having him cranky on and off.

Noah is definitely not quiet all the time.

  5. Ouch, I can't imagine that kind of constipation Noah. I cried when, the last thing you hear on the video is, 'Mummy help you'. What a privilege for Noah to have you as his Mum. xx
