Mum's Day

Yesterday we went out to see my Mum for an early Mother's Day brunch. We figure the best Mother's Day present we can give her is a quiet one away from the King boys! ;) We are glad you are having a nice day Mum and love you lots.

Harri was so cute when Mum pulled out the bookmark he made for her at school. He looked so proud of it.

The boys woke up this morning excited to give me their presents they picked out with Aaron. Harri handed me a box and I said 'I hope these are my favourite chocolates!' (lindt balls), and he said 'yes they are - can I share them with you!?'. Needless to say that he has been sharing them with me all afternoon. I am looking forward to wearing my cosy new PJ's and slipper socks tonight. The best present though, is that Noah has been in a really good mood for the last few days. No doubt that will change soon, but it was nice to get big smiles from him today.

At church I lead the Primary kids as they sang a prelude for all the Mum's in sacrament meeting and then during Sharing Time they decorated cupcakes and bags for their Mum's. Harri came and gave it to me and again asked 'can I share it with you Mum!!?. This was him after church 'sharing' my cupcake he decorated for me!

After church I told the boys they had to have a photo with me for Mother's Day. It's getting harder and harder to get all four boys looking at the camera at once, and not shutting their eyes, crying, fighting, coughing, choking, dribbling or complaining!

We finally ended up getting some half decent ones.

Harri was over it after the first two photos, so after he finally agreed to look at the camera he was allowed to pull a silly face.

I'm looking forward to having some more relaxing Mother's Days at the boys get older :) I'm also looking forward to my roast chicken and baked vegies tonight - thanks Aaron!!

  1. Harri does look very proud doesn't he.?
I love how he likes to'share'.
Looks like your weather than ours out here.
It was overcast all day, and raining in Devonport.
I have had a nice relaxing Mother's Day, and I imagine in a few more years the boys will take over the cooking, and let you both have a relaxing day as far as it can be.
Nice to see that old smile on Noah.
    Love Mum.

    P.s.
Jared made us a great roast lamb and roast vegies.
It always tastes so much better when someone else makes it.
