My Old Roomie

I'm so excited! Another friend of mine has started a blog! Paige was my roomate at Ricks College (now BYU Idaho) around 15 years ago (boy that makes me sound SO old!!) and we are still in contact via email. It makes me laugh as she will often email me saying 'nice new kitchen' etc and I realise that she has been reading my blog:)

Altogether in our apartment were 6 girls, including myself. Of course Paige was one of my favourite roomies as well as Allison. Paige is the top left, and Allison is top right.

We had such a great time together, and used to get up to crazy stuff, like run around in the snow at all hours of the night!

When we were at Ricks, Paige was going out with Doug. He was in our ward (we were the 36th ward I think - can't remember how many wards there were on campus, but it was something incredible). They were a great couple and when I left to come home, Doug left to go on his mission, for our church.

I don't think Paige did the 'waiting for him' thing, but they did write and I'm happy to say that they have been married 12 years and have 5 beautiful kids. I'm still amazed that they are married and have 5 kids! I still feel as young as we were back at Ricks, so it is hard to imagine them being married and with kids!! I'm excited to now keep up with their lives a little bit more via their blog.

  2. Ha ha. I don't know about being famous via my blog! Aaron kept commenting all night about how young I looked in those photos, and I told him not to remind me! It's not a good thing to say that to an almost 34 year old, heavily pregnant woman!

  5. Lisa - glad Emily liked the 80s/90s look! Thought people would get a laugh out of that! Maybe Emily should have been born 30 years ago.

  6. Ha,ha, first thing I noticed was your hair too. It looks very.. um fluffy!! Is ti supposed to be a bob?

  7. Simone - I thought you were my friend!!! LOL Fluffy is a good way to describe it. I was between hair lengths at that time! I went to the US with long hair and a lady in Oregon convinced me to cut it into a bob and I wasn't sure if I like it like that or wanted to grow it long again. Big hair was in then!
