BBQ at the Triffitt's

Tonight after church we went to Simon and Simone's house for a BBQ. It was nice to get out of town as it was a lot cooler in Westbury. The weather has just been a bit too hot for me lately. Toni and Jaron and their kids also came. I really thought Jaron was joking, but at the end of the night he said that he didn't realise I was pregnant! Toni swears that she told him, but as we discussed men don't seem to get excited about someone being pregnant like we do! It cracked me up as I think it is very obvious that I am pregnant, but he didn't even know until the end of the night when we were talking about having another boy. He must have just thought that the gym wasn't really working for me! My black t-shirt obviously hid my tummy well - I think I will be wearing it the rest of the pregnancy! :)

We had a really fun night and it was good to just sit down and catch up with each other (rather than in between song tracks at the gym!). We laughed all night about our blogs and said how we would have three different versions of the night on each blog.

Simone cracked me up all night with telling us which different things that we were eating were from her garden. She was also very excited to tell us how to make butternut snap trifle. Toni is very talented with cooking and craft, so Simone was especially excited to tell her how to make something that she hasn't done before. Deep down Simone is really a Molly, but just doesn't admit it :)

We were very impressed with Simon's desserts, and their new deck.

The boys had lots of fun playing with all the kids and seeing the different animals (we are mean parents once again and deprive our kids of any pets!).

Sarra got a hold of a wild rabbit which the kids were all fascinated with.

On the way home Harri told us that next time Jalen and him were going to take their pajamas to Oliver's house and stay the night and 'you go home!'. I think he had lots of fun! :)
