A couple of hours ago Aaron and Jim left to go to Melbourne to watch Hawthorn play the Kangaroos tonight at the MCG. Last Saturday night when I was out for Chris' birthday tea, Jim had rung Aaron to see if he wanted to go to Melbourne with him to watch the next game. They got cheap plane tickets to go over and Jim was able to get free tickets for the game through his work (NAB).I was happy for him to be able to go over with Jim as I knew that they would have heaps of fun - especially since they are both so fanatical about Hawthorn. There was almost a disaster when Jim came and picked up Aaron as he remembered that he had left the tickets to the game at home! Lucky they came quite early so he was able to dash home to get them on the way to the airport.
Needless to say they were both disappointed in the result, but both Jim and Aaron have said it was 'great but bad' at the same time.
We were feeling for Aaron, but at least the Hawks are getting better,
