Andy's Day of Kites

Today was a really nice and special day to remember Bec and Tony's son, Andrew. We know how much Bec and Tony are missing him and were so glad that we could share today with them and celebrate life. It is hard to believe that is has already been a year.

Bec and Tone decided to have 'Andy's Day of Kites'. We were lucky that the weather was good, but we could have done with a little bit more wind. Our kite that we bought was useless! It definately needed a lot of wind to go and just running with it did nothing. Ben thought it was a great joke and said it was the owners of the kite, not the lack of wind! Other kites went really well - especially the lighter ones. Tony made a very impressive kite out of straws and cellophane that worked really well. Jalen has since claimed it and is keen to try to fly it again.

After the kite flying we went back to Bec and Tony's house for afternoon tea and the kids had a great time hitting the pinjata. We are so glad that we got to share the special day with Bec and Tony and all of their friends and family. It was a really happy day - I'm sure it was just the way that Andrew would have liked it.
