20 years and 13 kids

Today Kobe, Noah and I headed out to Pip's house for a catch up with the girls again before Mel flies back to Queensland tomorrow. Noah is a bit chesty this week, so I've kept him home with me all week just so I can keep an eye on him. I personally think he's just loved wagging and hanging out with me and Kobe every day. Can't you tell how excited he is! ;)

It's always nice to get together with the girls while the kids have fun playing together.

It's been twenty years since we left high school and between the four of us there today, we have thirteen kids. It's strange to think that as when we get together it still feels like are the same as we were in high school.

Noah wasn't very excited to play with everyone, but decided to sleep the afternoon away on the couch instead :)

Mel's kids are on school holidays at the moment, so it's nice they could come down to spend some time with their Nan. They are lovely kids and were so good, helping with the little ones.

Annie looked so cute in her fairy dress. Supposedly she wears it whenever they go out.

Bec thought she'd try out Noah's wheelchair for size. Just getting ready for the the time in the future when all our kids put us in a home and we can no longer get around like we do now ;)

Just as we were about to leave Noah decided to wake up (his usual wake up time in the afternoon) and Kobe flaked it instead.

The last leaves of autumn

I have so much blogging to catch up on. A month or so ago I had driven past the Brickfields a few times on the way to town, and couldn't believe how beautiful all the autumn leaves looked all over the ground. I knew I just had to take the boys there for some photos, before they were all cleaned up. The entire ground was just covered in them.

Aaron calls me the paparazzi but he was just as bad as me, taking photos on his phone.

He is such a good Dad (don't tell him I said that though!;) and the boys loved mucking around with him at the park.

It was a fun afternoon - even though it was quite chilly!.

I always say I hate autumn as it just reminds me that winter is coming, but I think I've changed my mind now, since it's such a great opportunity for pretty photos :) Now I just hate winter... I'm so looking forward to being able to take some photos of the blossoms in bloom! Is it just me or does everyone else see life through a camera lens!!? Now all I can think of when I'm out and about is 'that would be a cool photo!' :)

Bikie Brothers

We always love going out to spend time at Mum and Dad's. It's always so quiet and relaxing out there.

The boys are going to love it even more now that Mum and Dad have bought a couple of four wheel motorbikes. While Chrish was down he helped them go and pick out some bikes, and we got together for a family tea (and a ride!).

The boys were so excited - especially as they bought a little one just for the kids.

It was the perfect size for the boys...and also Mum! :)

Everyone loved having turns riding around the paddock.

I even found myself a hot bikie to ride with!

It was such a nice winters day for it. Luckily we had lots of sun to sit and watch in.

Aaron has never ridden a two wheel motorbike before, so he was really excited when Eden went and got his. He decided to give it a go and was LOVING it.

I actually missed him riding the two wheeler as some of us had to stop having fun and start cooking tea ;) but he came inside very excited saying he was going to buy a motorbike! I don't think so!

While I was inside cooking, these two monkeys were keeping me company. They were cracking me up as they were both trying to get their hands on the food, and whenever I would catch them I would go 'uh, uh, uh!' and they would both copy me.

It won't be long till Eamon is also up at the bench joining them. He didn't seem to stay little very long!

The girls weren't worried about the food, but were having cat fights over the Barbies! Oh it was funny. There were tears and tantrums over who got the Barbie with the pink dress. In the end they all decided to play nicely together. The three girls are best friends, and best enemies at the same time. They play so well, and then the next minute you hear 'you aren't going to be my friend anymore!'.

At one stage I heard the girls playing 'airports' and were talking about going on the plane to Sydney with Uncle Chrish.

Noah slept most of the time, and finally woke up just before we went home.

The kids loved having a story with Grandma before we all went home.

Poor Kobe flaked it on the way home. He was exhausted after all that fresh air in the country! Can't wait to go out and do it again (and yes the little monkey took his arm out of his strap on his chair before falling asleep!).

A Sleepy Birthday

Noah started celebrating his 9th birthday early, by staying awake until after midnight. If it was any other kid, you would think he was too excited for his birthday and couldn't sleep, but unfortunately it's just Noah's sleep pattern, and he LOVES to stay awake half the night, which means that he then sleeps for most of the day. This is what I saw when I went to bed the night (or morning of!) before his birthday.

I went to sleep about 12.30 am and he was still wide awake!

In the morning Kobe and I got up early and waited for everyone else, including Noah to wake up. Kobe spotted the presents that had been wrapped the night before and of course thought he should start opening them up!! There were lots of tears when he was told they weren't for him and he had to wait until Noah woke up to help open them.

Noah slept the morning away, even when Nanna and Pa (Aaron's parents) came to visit. Mum and Dad then came in and we all went to see Toy Story 3 at the movies. The movie was awesome but Noah slept through 3/4s of it, which we knew he probably would. It was still nice to go and do something fun together as a family on his birthday, especially as it was also Dad's birthday who gets forgotten a lot, especially as it's Noah's birthday.

We waited until Noah woke up to open his presents. Finally about 5 pm he woke up and we got to open presents with him.

About half way through he started yawning again! I guess that's what happens when you stay up till after midnight!

By the time we got the candles on his number 9 cake lit, and sung 'Happy Birthday' to him and Dad, he was fast asleep again!!!

We did a 'take 2' of singing 'Happy birthday' to him after tea when he was awake more.

Jalen cracked me up as he started to say 'Happy birthday to Kobe' and it came out as 'happy birthday to Koah' as he realised what he was saying!

Of course Noah was then wide awake until after midnight again, so we had a nice night chilling out on the couch together watching a DVD :)

Now it's midday and he's still asleep and no doubt will wake up about 5 pm again! Little monkey!
